My top tips to help you plan your wedding flowers.

I get it, once the initial excitement of your engagement has worn off wedding planning can feel a little scary! If you have never planned a wedding before it can feel like there are so many choices out there and so many different suppliers, it can be difficult to know where to begin.

So, it’s time to start thinking about your wedding flowers but what do you need to know about planning your wedding flowers and choosing a florist?

1.     Choose a florist whose designs you fall in love with.

If you are following us on our social media feeds hopefully this means you love us! But seriously wedding flowers really set the tone when it comes to creating a successful scheme for your wedding. Make sure you are choosing a florist whose style matches the vibe you want to create to guarantee a consistent design throughout your wedding décor.

Like a photographer each florist has their own individual style when it comes to floral design. Some florists are super adaptable and can go from minimal to modern while others have a specific style when it comes to their work.

As tempting as it might be to choose a wedding florist based on price rather than one whose work you love by doing this you will be compromising on the quality, style, density, and impact of arrangements that you imagined having on your big day.

When I tell people I’m a wedding florist I always hear married couples tell me their biggest regret was not investing more into their wedding flowers. This starts by choosing a florist whose work you love.

2. Be upfront about your budget and be open minded

You might have little experience planning a wedding, but we don’t. An established florist will have helped plan a lot of weddings and will know how to maximise your budget so that you have flowers for the people and the spaces that really need them.

Enter your floral consultations with an open mind rather than rigid ideas of what you need. It is likely that your florist has worked in your venue before so they will know what works well in a space. If they haven’t worked at your venue before but have still done a lot of weddings, they will still know the best spaces to suggest adding florals to.

I can guarantee your florist will have ideas you've never even thought of and will be able to suggest arrangements that match your aesthetic and budget as well as balance your order, so you have some amazing focal pieces as well as smaller florals that complement the overall décor and scheme.

3. Put your trust in us.

My favourite couples to work with are those who have an idea on what vibe and style they want but are happy for me to choose the flower types. Giving your florist creative freedom with your flowers allows us to really maximise your flower budget, select the very best quality and variety of flowers and can get you get something even more amazing than you could have dreamed of!
